Selkirk SLK Halo Control Max Pickleball Paddle
Why it made the list
A control paddle with a wide face and a soft faux-leather grip. Built for dinks and drop shots, which is where the clever players win anyway.
A carbon-fiber pickleball paddle with a 16 mm polymer control core, an edge guard and a cushioned faux-leather grip. The Max shape is 16 x 7.85 in with a 4.85 in handle, a 4.35 in grip and a weight of 7.6 to 8.2 oz. Selkirk.com lists the same paddle at $100, but its stock was unclear.
